Baltimore is known for many things, but would you guess that it has a thriving community of supporters of the arts? Well, I guess maybe that is a given for how artsy Baltimore is. I have to give a huge THANK YOU to the wonderful members of the Charm City Craft Mafia who plan and coordinate 2 fabulous shows, the HOLIDAY HEAP and the springtime PILE OF CRAFT.
I was honored to be juried into my very first Heap this year, and it definitely did not disappoint!
Here is a picture from my table showcasing an awesome custom trunk made for me by woodworker-extraordinaire Matthew Rae. Check out his blog!
So, the show was fantastic. I was overwhelmed by how fast my work sold! Thankfully my trusty friend Rachel Martin of Boxwood Winery was there to wrap, pack, haul, & cheer me on.
I sold 73% of what I brought, I couldn't believe it! In October I started holiday production 4 days a week, having only had nights and weekends prior to that. I also had product left over from 2 summer shows, but I realize now that more is always better. Note to self: start sooner!
So that's the news from Belle Epoque for now. Taking a needed rest for the holidays!
Craftily, Camille
